Written by Hugh Martin in 1943 for the film “Meet Me In St. Louis”. Parts of the lyrics were changed several times by Martin over the years, by request of various performers. [1]
Mele Kalikimaka
Written by Robert Alexander Anderson, a Cornell-trained electrical engineer and airman who was shot down by the Germans and captured, but escaped. This song was covered by Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters. Anderson also had several other hits while pursuing a career in business. [1]
Let It Snow
Written by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne during a heat wave in July 1945 in Hollywood, California. [1]
